Learning objectives
The course of study includes all the medical and surgical disciplines of the head / neck area: ophthalmology, maxillofacial surgery, otolaryngology, audiology and dentistry. These subjects see numerous overlapping areas and, although the topics covered may differ widely, only an integrated knowledge of them will enable the student to adequately deal with the pathologies of this body district. The course aims to teach the main pathologies of the sense organs (eye, ear, taste, smell), the facial mass and neck and their medical and surgical management.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the student must be able to accurately describe the anatomy and diseases of the head/neck as well as their medical and surgical management. Although the specific diagnostic and treatment techniques are beyond the objectives of the course and are reserved for more advanced specialized studies, the student is expected to have a good overview of the diagnostic and therapeutic options for the management of the discussed entities.
