Learning objectives
The aim of the course is to introduce the main methodological and historical elements of music publishing, framing them into the historical background and analyzing them from both the theoretical and applicative viewpoints.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the student will know the historical and technical aspects related to music notation and writing, as well as those related to music printing, publishing, and philology.

Lectures with guided exercises in a computer-equipped lab.

Assessment methods and Criteria
The exam is conducted exclusively in written form via the Esami Moodle platform.
The test consists of a first part with multiple-choice questions and a second part with transcription and format conversion exercises. The latter is carried out in LaTeX using the online platform Overleaf.
