Learning objectives
The course is aimed at providing students with knowledge about:
- the development and management of hospitals and their evolution over time as concerns health and safety needs, in the light of the national and regional legislation;
- theories and intervention models used by work and organizational psychology within the context of health an helping professions;
- positive psychology applied to work;
- the sociology of professions, elaborated by American and British sociology, critically adopted in continental Europe and Italy;
- the professionalization process of nurses and other health professions;
- the evolution of health professions in care, diagnostic and rehabilitation, including the institution of orders or professional colleges for healthcare professions different from medicine and nursing

- positive psychology applied to work;
- the sociology of professions, elaborated by American and British sociology, critically adopted in continental Europe and Italy;

Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the teaching, the student must be able to:
- to know the laws relating to the prevention and protection of health and safety in the workplace and the economic and economic-business constraints and to be able to develop interventions aimed at providing an effective contribution to the organization;
- to know the psychological aspects of both individual work behaviours and in the contexts of the group and organisation, with particular reference to the management of power and leadership;
- know how to manage and solve organizational problems.

Assessment methods and Criteria
The learning outcomes are assessed through a written test, organized in specific exam sessions, as per the Regulations. For each academic year, up to a maximum of six exam sessions may be scheduled; two in each session.
The test consists of 31 multiple choice questions with only 1 correct answer in moodle online mode.
The maximum grade is 30 with honors with 31 correct answers. 1 point will be awarded for each correct answer, 0 points for each null, missing or incorrect answer. Time available: 40 minutes.
The content of the test will be based equally on the lessons of the 3 modules that make up the Integrated Course.

Occupational Medicine. Definition of hazard, risk factor, occupational disease, work-related disease, occupational accident. Prevention activities Production sectors and risk factors. Risk assessment. Principles and main aspects of the current legislation on the protection of workers' health (Consolidated Law 81/2008, Legislative Decree 151/01 and others). Occupational risks, health effects and prevention in the healthcare environment: chemical, physical, biological and organizational risk agents. - Organization of prevention and occupational health services. Health surveillance of workers.
