Learning objectives
The course is designed to develop students' communication skills in Russian at level B2/C1 of the CEFR. The goal is to introduce students to Russian for specific purposes, covering a variety of fields in a contrastive perspective. Students will gain the ability to understand, translate and interpret texts from Russian into Italian and vice versa, and to produce specialist texts and oral communications in the field of international cooperation. Moreover, they will develop knowledge and skills with regard to AI software and tools. Lastly, they will develop judgement-making skills by performing contrastive analysis of parallel texts, and by discussing these texts in the class.
Expected learning outcomes
By the end of the course, students will have deepened their knowledge of the main lexical, morphosyntactic and pragmatic aspects of Russian for specific purposes. Moreover, they will have strengthened their ability to understand, translate, interpret and produce different text types at level B2/C1 of the CEFR, and consolidated practical skills in using AI tools for these professional purposes.
