Technologies for Manufacturing and Packaging (materials and processes)

Learning objectives
The course aims to provide the students with knowledge of the technologies/processes required for cosmetic products development and packaging. In particular, innovation project management and process development will be introduced and discussed, and industrial hygiene, production layout and cosmetic GMP specifically highlighted. Details relevant manufacturing equipment such as mixers and presse, filling and packaging plants will also be presented.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the student will acquire the knowledge required for the management of production sites intended for different types of cosmetic products.

Assessment methods and Criteria
Written exam consisting of multiple choice questions and open questions. Possible oral discussion following the written exam.
