Learning objectives
The aim of the course is to provide the student with the tools and methods for the planning of speech therapy management of patients with primary and secondary oral and written language disorders in developmental age and in adulthood, promoting clinical thinking.
The course also aims to provide students with the methods and tools aimed at developing speech therapy reports relating to clinical cases observed during clinical practice and the drafting of the thesis dissertation.

Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student will be able to construct a rehabilitation setting aimed at therapeutic intervention, implementing the procedures related to each other in the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of primary and secondary oral and written language disorders.

Prerequisites for admission
With reference to the Didactic Regulations (art.20), To access the third year, it is essential to have achieved at least nine exams of which:
- biological, physiological and morphological sciences
- linguistic, philosophical and socio-pedagogical sciences
- applied speech therapy sciences: preparatory
- Otolaryngological, neurological and rehabilitation sciences, Applied speech and language sciences II
- Neuropsychiatric, pedagogical and psychological sciences
The student must also have passed the 2nd year annual traineeship exam.

Assessment methods and Criteria
Learning will be verified through Objective Structured Clinical Examination. In each of the stations, will be proposed clinical cases and/or scenarios in the field of speech and language therapy (Language Disorder, Learning Disorder, Autism, Intellectual Disability, Bilingualism, Dysphagia, Speech Sound Disorder, Stuttering, Aphasia, Head Injury, Dysarthria, Dysphonia) and requests will be made both in oral form and in terms of simulations/role playing and/or clinical reasoning in the context of all the professional acts: interview and anamnestic data collection, observation, qualitative and quantitative evaluation, assessment, treatment, outcome treatment measures, follow-up, counseling.
Each request will be evaluated using an expected response checklist.
The evaluation criteria used will concern: the application of the knowledge acquired and understanding in the area of gestural skills; autonomy of judgment in the field of clinical reasoning; communication and relational skills.
Two reports prepared within the internship course are also required.
