Viticulture: Cultivation Techniques

Learning objectives
The course aims to make students aware of and understand the processes of planting the vineyard and cultivation practices for the production of wine grapes. The critical points and the importance of the various factors that contribute to the production chain are highlighted. At the end of the course, students will have acquired the skills to evaluate and judge the creation and management of vineyards intended for the production of wine grapes. In particular, these skills will be developed through the alternation of lectures with field visits that will allow the knowledge learned to be validated, furthermore the computer exercises allow the student to learn the rudiments of GIS systems and to use the most modern techniques for the design and creation of a vineyard thus producing a project useful for communicating the knowledge learned. The teaching of the course of Viticulture - Cultivation Technique resumes and connects with all the teachings of this degree course. The knowledge acquired allows the students to independently develop their continuous training and to easily follow the evolution of vine cultivation systems.
Expected learning outcomes
The student acquires information on management and problems of production processes. The student also deepens the practical aspects and the changes induced on grape and wine by the various interventions on the plant.
