Class attendance is mandatory. The Lab consists of lessons designed to provide students with the foundational tools to analyze and discuss the main socio-economic characteristics of medieval cities. Students will also learn to recognize different methodologies adopted by historians in the study of urban dynamics and to appropriately use the specific vocabulary and methodology of medieval studies in this field.
These skills will be acquired primarily through in-class activities, and subsequently, through the individual preparation of a brief written report based on recent publications related to the lab's theme.
