Corso integrato di scienze interdisciplinari: cliniche con implicazioni oftalmiche

The integrated course aims to provide students with an interdisciplinary understanding of major systemic diseases and their ophthalmologic implications, fostering the knowledge of shared pathophysiological mechanisms and related ocular manifestations. Through a multidisciplinary learning approach, students will gain theoretical foundations and practical tools to identify eye signs associated with internal medicine, endocrinology, rheumatology, dermatology, and neurology. The course also encourages the development of skills in clinical documentation, ophthalmic imaging, and diagnostic reasoning, preparing future professionals to work effectively within integrated healthcare teams.

By the end of the integrated course, students will be able to:
Recognize the connections between systemic diseases and ocular manifestations.
Understand the main pathophysiological mechanisms shared by chronic diseases with ophthalmologic impact.
Collect, document, and interpret clinical and instrumental data relevant to ocular diagnosis in patients with systemic comorbidities.
