Enrolment and fees

Enrolment is always open

Thanks to our non-stop enrolment policy, you can decide to begin your studies when you want: there are no deadlines and no "right" moments to enrol. If you have just finished high school, you can take your time to choose carefully and start when you are ready. If you are working and thinking about a career change, or would finally like to earn that degree you started ages ago, you can go back to studying whenever you feel that the timing is right, without sacrificing your work or personal life.

With our online programmes you can enjoy full flexibility and study at your preferred time and location. And yet you are never left alone, because La Statale Open offers continuous tutoring support from the beginning to the end of your academic journey.

Enrolment window: from 3 June 2026 to 15 June 2027

How to enrol

Enrolment in one of the La Statale Open degree programmes is not subject to selection procedures such as an entrance exam or an interview. After enrolling, you will be required to take an online test assessing your prior knowledge in the basic subjects relevant to the programme. The test will be available from 23 June 2026 and you will have to take it when you first access the online platform. The test lasts one hour and can be taken only once. The outcome will be visible online at the end of the test. Should the test identify knowledge gaps, you will be assigned additional learning requirements (also known as OFA), which means that you will have to complete remedial coursework on the e-learning platform within 12 months of your enrolment. For further details, please visit the relevant programme webpages ("Enrolment" section).

Affordable and transparent fees

Enrolment in one of our La Statale Open Bachelor's degrees requires payment of an additional fee covering costs linked to the digital learning environment (online platform, technical support, online tutors). This fee will be added to the standard tuition rates applied by the University of Milan for all its programmes.

  2. additional fee for online programmes, covering costs linked to the digital learning environment (online platform, technical support, online tutors):
    • 500 euros for students with an ISEE up to 30,000 euros
    • 900 euros for students with an ISEE above 30,000 euros

Tuition is to be paid in two instalments:

  • first instalment: 646 euros, due upon enrolment
  • second instalment: the amount may vary up to a maximum of 4,561.12 euros (depending on the calculations explained above). This payment is due within 120 days of enrolment.

Rescheduling the second instalment
Payment of the second instalment can be split into four equal tranches, to be paid as follows:

  • 1st payment: within 120 days of enrolment
  • 2nd payment: within 150 days of enrolment
  • 3rd payment: within 180 days of enrolment
  • 4th payment: within 210 days of enrolment

Applying for a reduction on the second instalment

The certificate is to be requested directly to INPS, online or at a Fiscal Assistance Centre (CAF), by filling out the Single Substitute Statement (Dichiarazione Sostitutiva Unica, DSU). Your ISEE certificate will be issued by INPS within one week of submission of the DSU and will be acquired automatically by the University.
After acquiring your ISEE certificate, the University will recalculate the amount of the second instalment and send you an email in this regard to your university email address.
