The major aim of this course is to provide information regarding the use of zebrafish as a model animal for the study of human pathologies and their treatment. We will analyze different pathologies such as tumors, neurodegeneration, aging, genetic, metabolic and inflammatory diseases and how zebrafish can be used as a low cost and model system for the study of the molecular basis and pharmacological treatment of these diseases.
