The course aims to strengthen the use of statistical and technical tools for the analysis of biomedical data. The purpose of this course will provide a basic knowledge on the proper implementation of statistical methods to the analysis of biological data. After a theoretical overview of the main statistical approaches, some selected applications to real cases will be illustrated and discussed to help PhD students understand how to extract a correct information from experimental biological experiments. The course will introduce to the use of R language. At the end of the course, the student will have to take an assessment test. The course will be organized in two full days in June 2022 at LITA, segrate.
Recommended for doctoral students of the first year,the course is recommended as a first level course to reinforce you statistical and data management skills (only 10 seats are available).
