Educational Objectives: This course aims to explore the theme of emotions and engage in a dialogue among various perspectives in terms of methodology and disciplinary scope. It will provide a general philosophical and anthropological framework, followed by more specific contributions from linguistics, literature, and visual arts.
The reflections offered by the participating instructors will dwelve into the topic of human emotional experience, its manifestations within the cultures of different societies, and the inventory of their conceptual categories from ancient times to the contemporary era. This exploration will encompass its relationships with language, literary elaborations, and the arts. The course aims to give voice to different anthropological-cultural models and various forms of linguistic, literary, and broader artistic manifestations within the considered societies
