Gut Brain- and Liver Brain- Axis: Theoretical and Practical Aspects Related to Metagenomics

The course will provide knowledge on the Gut Brain- and Liver Brain- Axis communication in relation to psychiatric and cardio metabolic pathologies. During the course we will also provide information on practical aspects from samples processing up to metagenomic data analyses. In particular, we will cover aspects related to the concept of dysbiosis, "alpha" e "beta" diversity in in physiological and pathological conditions and we will introduce different tools for metagenomic analyses. Finally we will discuss potential future applications in metagenomics and literature data.
