Lead instructor: Paola Crepaldi
Provide students with the practical skills necessary to apply statistical tests, analyse relationships between variables, and interpret research findings. The course covers linear models, experimental designs, contingency tables, and basic tools for epidemiological analysis, including Bayesian reasoning.
Have taken the course Working with Data: Foundations of Biostatistics in Nutrition Science or have theoretical and practical knowledge of descriptive statistics and basic probability concepts; hypothesis testing and confidence intervals; organising datasets for descriptive statistical analysis and constructing and interpreting basic graphs and tables in scientific contexts.
