The course intends to provide some knowledge on stem cells.
From the 70s to today, the characteristics of these cells have been better understood, debunking some dogmas relating to their mechanisms of action. This course aims to follow the way that has led to the current knowledge regarding the language of these cells, while being aware that much is still in progress.
The course begins by defining what a stem cell is and what characteristics it must have in order to be defined as such, according to the requests of the International Society of Cellular Therapy.
