"Modular theoretical course aimed at providing an overview of the multiple interactions that are established in natural systems, at different levels of biological organization. Interactions at multiple scales will be taken into consideration:
-between organisms (e.g. from symbiosis to the definition of holobiont and superorganism, to sexual arms race)
-between organisms and the environment especially in the context of the global changes currently underway (e.g. responses to climate change and pollution).
Particular attention will be given to the in-depth analysis of interactions that can be used for the development of mitigation strategies, such as bioremediation.
