Lead instructor: Michaela Fakiola
The course will provide an overview of NGS technologies and data analysis for transcriptomics (bulk and single cell), starting with the preparation of sequencing libraries, sequencing methods, and ending with information extraction and data analysis: pre-processing, alignment, normalisation, differential expression, and functional enrichment. Data analysis consists of theoretical and practical sessions in which students will perform bioinformatic analyses on NGS data. The course focuses on developing practical skills in NGS data analysis and the ability to interact in a basic way with open source analysis platforms, such as RStudio. The course will take place over two days at IFOM or LITA (TBD).
