Sustainability Observatory

The observatory helps develop the university's strategy for becoming an increasingly sustainable institution, in line with the implementation of Agenda 2030, the National Strategy for Sustainable Development and the objectives of the university's Strategic Plan 2025-2030.

The observatory is chaired by the Vice-Rector for Sustainable Development and Ecological Transition, Alessandro Banterle, and consists of four members representing the teaching staff, four representing the technical-administrative and library staff, and eight students.

In particular, the Sustainability Observatory is a place for discussion and listening to the voice of the student body with the purpose of identifying priority areas for intervention and developing ideas, proposals, projects and solutions to be submitted to the university's governing bodies. The aim is to promote the dissemination of a culture of sustainability, share good practices and inform members of the university community on actions taken.

The eight students are selected through an annual call for applications, open between September and October. Participation in the observatory shall last at least one year and entitles students to an Open Badge.
