Building and fostering a culture of inclusivity across all areas is a cornerstone of the University of Milan's Strategic Plan 2025-2030. The University aims to implement this by educating and informing the student community and the public through La Statale Inclusiva: a programme of 50 open lectures scheduled from 17 November to 5 December 2025.

Promoted as a way to honour the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (3 December), the initiative involves lecturers from different disciplines, who will dedicate one of their classes to a topic focusing on disability — from the constitutional rights of persons with disabilities to web accessibility, from inclusive language to Paralympic sports, from the accessibility of cultural heritage and libraries to multiple discrimination, and from medical humanities to representations of disability in literature.
The result is a rich, multidisciplinary programme featuring lectures that in some cases combine theory with practical experience, thanks to the participation of associations and operators and individuals sharing first-hand accounts.

La Statale Inclusiva is promoted by Stefania Leone, the Rector's Delegate for Disability and SLD services, by the COSP Disability and SLD Services with the contribution of the departmental contact persons for disability and SLD services, by the Human Hall permanent legal observatory on the rights of persons with disabilities, and by the Fondazione Diritti Umani.
