1. Basic concepts: geographic and projected coordinates, coordinate reference systems, cartography
2. Spatial databases: OGC standard and Simple features data model, fundamental operations for manipulating and querying spatial data (range queries and spatial join), basics of spatial indexes
3. Modeling movement data: geolocation techniques, spatial trajectories and Moving Object databases, research directions.
4. Introduction to spatial data analysis with focus on clustering
5. Introduction to the use of: POSTGIS and QGIS
