-Regulation and guidelines for the use animal models in experimental research.
-Regulation and guidelines for clinical and genetic studies.
-Study of cardiovascular and immunometabolic diseases.
-Animal models for the study of obesity and metabolic diseases.
-Animal models for the study of atherosclerosis.
-Platelet aggregation and models for the study of arterial thrombosis.
-Experimental approaches for the study of angiogenesis.
-Immune and autoimmune diseases.
-Use of cytofluorimetry techniques for the study of leukocyte population
-Investigation of oxidative stress in the heart.
-Imaging procedures in vascular biology.
-Imaging procedures in metabolic disorders and obesity.

PREREQUISITES AND EXAMINATION PROCEDURES
Good knowledge of anatomy, cell biology, biochemistry
and general pharmacology are required. Also a good understanding of English. The course frequency is strongly recommended. Ad interim tests will be organized during the course.
The final test examination is written and focuses on the topics discussed in the course.
