Operations Research
A.Y. 2018/2019
Learning objectives
The course aims at introducing students to Operations Research, i.e. to the study of scientific methods to solve complex decision problems. In particular the focus is on mathematical models to formulate and classify optimization problems. A significant part of the course consists of lab activities, in which students learn how to use modeling languages and solvers.
Expected learning outcomes
Recognizing optimization problems, formulating them in mathematical models, classifying them and solving them with appropriate software tools.
