Soil Bioengineering

Learning objectives
The objective of the course is to carry the student to know the principles and the techniques of soil bioengineering and to develop design skills, in the context of green construction and landscape architecture. In particular the course deals with the combination of vegetation and inert structures to restore, reclaim, remediate and protect land from degradation processes.
The course considers both the technical aspects, concerning the best choose of techniques and plant species for the considered works, and legislative issues for the Italian context.
European and Mediterranean context are also considered.
