Learning objectives
Basic principles of Kinematics, dynamics and thermodynamics. Elements of fluid physics. Solution of simple problems.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the student will know basic principles of cinematics, dynamics of the material point, of a system of material points and of the rigid body (continuous system). The student will know dynamics of elastic and inelastic hints between particles; the laws regulating the motion of planets around the Sun and the universal gravitational law. The student will get basis of the physics of fluids in static regime and of their dynamic; principles of thermodynamics, with particular emphasis on the ideal gas.

Assessment methods and Criteria
The examination will consist in a written part containing exercises similar to those explained during the course and questions and in an oral part on the subjects of the course. The oral part should be taken in two weeks after the written part. The written part can be substituted by two intermediate exams (written), one during the course and the other just at the end of it. In this second case, the oral can be taken during the subsequent 11 months. The written part and the intermediate exams are evaluated from A (excellent) to E (seriously inadequate). C corresponds to adequate. The results of the written and intermediate exams will be published on Ariel. The oral exam will be evaluated from 18/30 to 30/30 and will take into account the result of the written or intermediate exams.
