Mathematics (Classe L-35)-Enrolled Until 2017/2018 A.y.
The main objectives of the Degree Program in Mathematics are to furnish a solid foundation in the mathematical sciences, to introduce the modern formulation of the discipline, to encourage an active contact with various aspects of the field (including theoretical rigor and attention to applications), and to provide the preparation necessary to comprehend future developments in the field.
The Degree in Mathematics enables employment in both the public and private sectors for positions which require capacity for abstract reasoning, formulation and/or modelling of concrete problems and their solution though the use of tools coming from the mathematical sciences.
Recipients of the Degree in Mathematics find careers in: banks, insurance companies, polling and survey institutes, consulting and accrediting firms, software development companies, medical, biomedical and pharmacological institutes and companies, in the green economy, and in research and development divisions of large corporations, and specific industries such as transportation, telecommunication, and aerospace.
A significant portion of degree recipients in Mathematics continue their studies by enrolling in a Masters Degree Program.

Tutti gli studenti che intendono iscriversi al Corso di Laurea in Matematica devono preventivamente sostenere una prova nazionale non selettiva di verifica delle conoscenze scientifiche.
Solamente dopo aver sostenuto tale prova, QUALUNQUE NE SIA L'ESITO, gli studenti potranno iscriversi al cdl in Matematica.
Agli studenti che non superano la prova saranno assegnati degli Obblighi Formativi Aggiuntivi (OFA), più precisamente non potranno sostenere alcun esame del secondo anno prima di aver superato l'esame di: Algebra 1, oppure Analisi matematica 1, oppure Geometria 1.
Attività di supporto e prove di recupero.
Per gli studenti con OFA verranno organizzate attività di supporto nel mese di settembre 2019. Tali attività saranno seguite da una prova finale il cui superamento annullerà gli eventuali OFA.

The Bachelor of Science in Mathematics has long been committed to characterize its educational activities in an international framework under the Erasmus program. We activated several agreements with other universities in Europe. In particular, we have exchange agreements within the disciplines of both curricula: with Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Holland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland.

3 - Nel secondo e terzo anno di corso lo studente deve acquisire 18 crediti a libera scelta.
Vengono riportati nella tabella seguente gli insegnamenti appositamente attivati da CDM. Lo studente può anche scegliere liberamente tra tutti gli insegnamenti attivati dall'ateneo, ed in particolare tra quelli attivati dal CDM in Matematica per un curriculum diverso da quello seguito dallo studente (si segnala che il corso di Geometria 4 (prima parte) è disponibile solo per gli studenti del curriculum applicativo)e tra quelli della magistrale in Matematica.
Per quanto riguarda i corsi di Analisi si consiglia di seguire Analisi Reale e/o Analisi Complessa.
La scelta e' soggetta all'approvazione del CDM.
Si segnala che l'insegnamento di Metodi e modelli matematici per le applicazioni è incompatibile con l'Attività di Metodi e modelli matematici per le applicazioni (che rientra tra le attività a scelta per il conseguimento dei crediti di tipo f) e, analogamente, l'insegnamento di Calcolo scientifico è incompatibile con l'Attività di Calcolo scientifico.
