Learning objectives
The aim of the course is to introduce the basic principles and mechanisms of organizational design as well as the organizational changes that the digital transformation implies. Therefore, it will be discussed the main theories and tools aimed at the analysis and design of organizational structures; the main strategies that can facilitate the introduction of technological change in organizational contexts; the social dynamics in organizational contexts affected by the digital transformation
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of this course, students should gain the main knowledge and skills needed in order to analyze and design organizational structures. Furthermore, students will become aware of the digital transformation taking place in the organizational landscape and its effect on different sectors and contexts. More specifically, they will be able to understand and manage the impact of ICTs both in terms of organizational design and management of strategical and social aspects related to their adoption
