Learning objectives
The course has two objectives: in the first part of the course, the general rules of Labor Law and the related sources of law (Constitution, Ordinary Laws and other acts having the force of law, implementing or implementation regulations) will be studied in depth; in this first part, particular attention will be given to the Workers' Statute and the national collective agreement; the second part of the course will aim to analyze the most widespread employment contracts (SUBORDINATE WORK, COLLABORATIONS and SELF-EMPLOYMENT, ...), understand their substantial differences and areas of application.
The student will acquire basic notions and instruments of descriptive and analytical medical statistics in order to critically evaluate epidemiological studies and clinical trials.
Understand the basics of the Italian legal system, understand the legal aspects of professional practice, i.e. the duties, the meaning and the legal consequences of acts performed during professional work.
The student will have to face the world of psychology in order to understand the psychological and social dimension of disease.

Expected learning outcomes
Students will acquire the knowledge necessary to know the main rules of labor law, the different specificities of the main employment contracts in use.
Attitude to perform and interpret basic statistical tests.
Attitude to critically evaluate selected epidemiological findings and clinical trials.
Students will be able to understand the basics of the Italian legal system, the legal consequences of negligence, malpractice and imprudence or wilful behaviour; the duties related to the practice of the profession (professional secrecy, informed consent, duty to inform the authorities), acts aimed at proactively minimize legal risks, the principles of accountability and privacy law.
Knowledge of general psychology and on the healthcare professional-patient relationship

know the regulatory evolution of health organization and health law

The Course is provided as a blended-learning course.
For acquisition of expected knowledge, a student has to browse the program contents on the online course according to an e-learning modality. Contents are organized into the following training courses: G) Foundations of Computer Science, F) Spreadsheets, B) Information management, and I) Internet and web. A training course is then articulated into thematic modules. Students have to pass a self-evaluation test at the end of each thematic module. Initially, a student can access just an introductory module. The access to subsequent modules is progressively enabled when the test of available modules is successfully passed. For acquisition of expected skills, a student can attend two exercise sessions in a computer-science room. Each exercise session is three hours long. The attendance to exercise sessions is not a mandatory requirement for successfully pass the Course and obtain the credits, however students are strongly encouraged to attend the exercise sessions.
