Learning objectives
This course aims at making students able to approach any kind of Arabic texts, trying to understand and solve some common problems in translating into Italian. High attention is given to the different types of translation in relation to the public the translation is aimed to.
Expected learning outcomes
Translation strategy and "tricks". High attention to the main editorial rules, according to the editorial market in the Italian context.

Assessment methods and Criteria
The exam consist of a written transaltion from Arabic to Italian, on a known text. The student is allowed to use a dictionary.
