The post-graduate degree course in Languages and Cultures for International Communication and Co-operation aims to provide specialized training for language mediators and to hone their language skills and cultural expertise though the wide range of language and culture courses offered. Students will also develop carefully selected skills in the fields of law, economics, sociology, psychology and anthropology, all essential to develop highly qualified professionals in the sphere of Intercultural communication and international cooperation.
In an international perspective, thanks to the advanced skills and knowledge acquired, will graduates will be well-placed to find positions, and fill high responsibility posts, within international institutions and bodies, in both the public and corporate spheres. Opportunities also exist in the directorates of international bodies and in international cooperation and development organisations. Their advanced and highly specific skill set means they are ideally placed to work with bodies and organizations directly involved in the processes of cultural, linguistic, economic and social integration, where it is crucial to understand the need to protect immigrants' languages and other core issues of integration, especially in the light of European Union language policies. Graduates will also find places in teaching. This degree course trains graduates to understand the issues related to the dynamics of intercultural and interethnic relations in such sectors as public and private companies, public institutions, cultural organisations, environmental agencies, tourist boards, publishing and journalism. To sum up, graduates will acquire the ability to apply their expertise in communication and information in contexts in which it essential to have a thorough grounding in the multicultural issues involved in the processes affecting contemporary societies, particularly at an international level.

Employment statistics (Almalaurea)
Per poter accedere al corso di laurea magistrale in Lingue e culture per la comunicazione e la cooperazione internazionale gli studenti dovranno a) essere in possesso dei requisiti curricolari minimi sotto indicati e b) superare un test di verifica delle competenze. Solo gli studenti in possesso dei requisiti curriculari minimi e che abbiano conseguito 147 CFU entro il termine per la presentazione della domanda di ammissione potranno accedere al test di verifica delle competenze.

Requisiti minimi per l'accesso
a) per studenti provenienti dalla classe L-12,

- per essere ammessi al curriculum "Integrazione e comunicazione interculturale per istituzioni e imprese", si propongono quali requisiti minimi i seguenti 60 CFU:
· 18 CFU (= 2 annualità) in una Lingua;
· 18 CFU (= 2 annualità) in un'altra Lingua;
· 18 CFU (= 2 annualità) nelle due corrispondenti Letterature e Culture;
· 6 CFU acquisiti in un SSD previsto dalla tabella della classe L-12.

- per essere ammessi al curriculum "Italiano L2 per l'integrazione e la comunicazione interculturale", si propongono quali requisiti minimi i seguenti 72 CFU:
· 18 CFU (= 2 annualità) in una Lingua straniera + 18 CFU (= 2 annualità) nella corrispondente Letteratura e Cultura;
· 18 CFU (= 2 annualità) in Lingua italiana + 12 CFU nella corrispondente Letteratura e Cultura;
· 6 CFU acquisiti in un SSD previsto dalla tabella della classe L-12.

b) per studenti non provenienti dalla classe L-12,

- per essere ammessi al curriculum "Integrazione e comunicazione interculturale per istituzioni e imprese", si propongono quali requisiti minimi i seguenti 90 CFU:
· 18 CFU (= 2 annualità) in una Lingua;
· 18 CFU (= 2 annualità) in un'altra Lingua;
· 18 + 18 CFU (= 4 annualità) nelle due corrispondenti Letterature e Culture;
· 18 CFU acquisiti in uno o più settori scientifico-disciplinari previsti dalla tabella della classe L-12.

- per essere ammessi al curriculum "Italiano L2 per l'integrazione e la comunicazione interculturale", si propongono quali requisiti minimi i seguenti 90 CFU:
· 18 CFU (= 2 annualità) in una Lingua straniera + 18 CFU (= 2 annualità) nella corrispondente Letteratura e Cultura ;
· 18 CFU (= 2 annualità) in Lingua italiana + 18 CFU (= 2 annualità) nella corrispondente Letteratura e Cultura;
· 18 CFU acquisiti in uno o più settori scientifico-disciplinari previsti dalla tabella della classe L-12.

Per l'anno accademico 2020-2021 le lingue attivate sono le seguenti: arabo, cinese, francese, giapponese, hindi, inglese, italiano (solo per studenti di lingua madre non italiana), russo, spagnolo, tedesco.

Test di verifica delle competenze
Oltre ai requisiti curriculari, gli studenti che intendono iscriversi al corso di laurea magistrale in Lingue e culture per la comunicazione e la cooperazione dovranno dimostrare di essere in possesso di conoscenze nelle lingue di studio adeguate a seguire con profitto gli insegnamenti avanzati previsti dal corso di laurea magistrale.
A tal fine tutti i candidati (con l'eccezione dei candidati non comunitari residenti all'estero richiedenti visto per studio) dovranno sostenere un test in ciascuna delle due lingue di specializzazione.

Gli studenti non di lingua madre italiana che intendono seguire il curriculum Italiano L2 dovranno scegliere, oltre all'italiano, una seconda lingua, e dovranno essere in possesso dei requisiti curriculari per entrambe.

Si ricorda che le lingue devono obbligatoriamente essere scelte fra quelle studiate nel corso di studi precedente. Ulteriori indicazioni pratiche riguardo il test d'accesso sono fornite più sotto alla sezione "Modalità di accesso".

I candidati non comunitari residenti all'estero richiedenti visto per studio sono esonerati dal test; la valutazione dell'adeguatezza delle competenze pregresse sarà fatta in base ai titoli.

Modalità di accesso
Date apertura e chiusura ammissioni: dal 10 marzo al 28 agosto 2020
Date apertura e chiusura immatricolazioni: dal 25 maggio al 30 settembre 2020 (15 gennaio 2021 per chi si laurea successivamente)
ATTENZIONE: prima di poter accedere all'immatricolazione è necessario superare un test di verifica delle competenze (vedi sotto).

Possono presentare domanda di ammissione tutti coloro che risultino essere in possesso dei requisiti curriculari, o che prevedano di conseguirli entro il 31 dicembre 2020, compresi i laureandi di questo o altro ateneo, purché conseguano la laurea entro tale data. Non è possibile colmare eventuali lacune nei requisiti curriculari successivamente al 31 dicembre.

I candidati dovranno obbligatoriamente allegare alla domanda online la documentazione relativa al titolo di studio e agli esami sostenuti, nonché a quelli ancora da sostenere. Per i laureandi e laureati di questo Ateneo tale documentazione sarà acquisita d'ufficio.

Per i candidati internazionali i documenti potranno essere prodotti in inglese, francese, spagnolo, tedesco, mentre i documenti redatti in altra lingua dovranno essere tradotti in italiano.

Per i candidati in possesso dei titoli richiesti, la valutazione dei requisiti curriculari sarà effettuata da un'apposita commissione esaminatrice designata dal Collegio Didattico e coadiuvata dalla Segreteria Studenti. La commissione si riunirà con cadenza periodica al fine di fornire risposte tempestive, soprattutto in merito alla possibile esistenza di lacune curriculari che possano pregiudicare l'ammissione, allo scopo di consentire ai candidati di colmarle in tempo utile.

Saranno valutati esclusivamente i titoli e le autocertificazioni presentati attraverso la normale procedura di richiesta di ammissione. Sul sito del corso di laurea, alla voce "Iscriversi" (https://lin.cdl.unimi.it/it/iscriversi), sono presenti informazioni utili per un'autovalutazione preliminare dei requisiti.

L'accesso al corso è subordinato al superamento di un test di verifica delle competenze nelle due lingue di specializzazione.

I candidati non comunitari residenti all'estero richiedenti visto per studio sono esonerati dal test. Per questi candidati la valutazione sarà effettuata esclusivamente sulla base dei titoli.

Tutti gli altri candidati dovranno sostenere un test in ciascuna delle due lingue di specializzazione. Gli studenti di lingua madre non italiana residenti in Italia che richiedono l'ammissione al Curriculum di Italiano L2 dovranno scegliere, oltre all'italiano, una seconda lingua per la quale siano in possesso dei requisiti curriculari e sostenere il test d'ingresso in entrambe le lingue.

Sono ammessi al test di verifica delle competenze linguistiche esclusivamente gli studenti che, alla data di chiusura delle iscrizioni (28 agosto), abbiano conseguito almeno 147 CFU del piano di studio della laurea triennale (esclusi eventuali crediti "fuori piano") e che, alla data del test, siano in possesso dei requisiti minimi per l'accesso descritti nella sezione "conoscenze per l'accesso" (vedi sopra).

Si ricorda che le lingue devono obbligatoriamente essere scelte fra quelle studiate nel corso di studi precedente.

Data del test
- I candidati che soddisfino i requisiti curriculari entro i termini di presentazione della domanda devono obbligatoriamente sostenere il test di verifica delle competenze linguistiche il 3 settembre 2020 (con possibile proseguimento, se necessario in base al numero dei candidati, il giorno successivo). Il test sarà erogato in modalità telematica e potrà essere svolto in turni. Gli eventuali turni e l'ora di convocazione dei candidati, insieme alle istruzioni operative per sostenere il test, saranno pubblicati successivamente alla data di chiusura delle iscrizioni sul sito del corso di laurea, nella sezione "Iscriversi" (https://lin.cdl.unimi.it/it/iscriversi)

- Per i candidati che non avessero soddisfatto i requisiti curriculari entro i termini di presentazione della domanda di ammissione (28 agosto 2020) è prevista una seconda data per il test d'accesso. Tale data è fissata per l'11 dicembre 2020. Il test sarà erogato secondo modalità che verranno rese note più avanti, e comunque entro la fine di ottobre 2020. Ulteriori informazioni e istruzioni operative saranno comunicate sul sito del corso di laurea, nella sezione "Iscriversi" (https://lin.cdl.unimi.it/it/iscriversi), entro il 4 dicembre 2020. Al test potranno accedere solo gli studenti che abbiano provveduto, entro la data del test, a colmare le lacune nei requisiti curriculari. Gli eventuali turni e l'ora di convocazione dei candidati saranno pubblicati entro il 9 dicembre, nella sezione "Iscriversi" (https://lin.cdl.unimi.it/it/iscriversi).

I candidati che non hanno provveduto a colmare i requisiti non potranno accedere al test. È possibile sostenere il test una sola volta.

Elenco degli ammessi
L'elenco degli ammessi sarà pubblicato sul sito del corso di laurea, nella sezione "Iscriversi" (https://lin.cdl.unimi.it/it/iscriversi). Gli aventi diritto dovranno immatricolarsi dopo il conseguimento della laurea entro il 30 settembre 2020 (15 gennaio 2021 per chi si laurea successivamente).

Trasferimenti e seconde lauree
Tutti gli studenti che intendono fare richiesta di trasferimento devono essere in possesso dei requisiti curriculari di ammissione e sostenere il test di verifica delle competenze, anche se provenienti da una LM-38. I medesimi obblighi valgono per gli studenti già in possesso di titolo di laurea magistrale che intendono conseguire una seconda laurea. Per le procedure da seguire per le richieste di trasferimento e per le seconde lauree si rinvia alle indicazioni della Segreteria Studenti.
Within the framework of the Erasmus programme, 58 exchange agreements are in place, covering 19 countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Estonia, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Latvia, Malta, Norway, the Netherlands, Portugal, Poland, Rumania, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, plus Switzerland, which participates in the Erasmus + programme as a partner country. Additionally, Erasmus traineeship agreements have also been signed with companies and institutions in some of the above-mentioned countries.

Additionally, a number of exchange agreements are in place with partner universities in non-European countries. Under these agreements, students have the opportunity to attend classes and take exams at partner institutions. Such activities and exam results may be validated in full or in part, with the corresponding credits concurring to fulfil the requirements for the attainment of the degree. Besides the Erasmus exchange agreements, the Course also has one double degree program in place whereby participating students earn degrees from both institutions:

Joint degree with the MA programme in "Russia and Europe: linguistic and cultural interaction" offered by the Russian State University for the Humanities (RSUH) in Moscow. UNIMI students accepted in the programme spend the second year of their course at RSUH, while Russian students spend their second and third terms at UNIMI; students who successfully complete the prescribed courses laid out in the joint degree agreement are awarded degrees by both universities. In their first year students choose two languages and their respective cultures, which they will study for the two years of the degree course. To sit the exams of the following year (Language II or Culture II), students must have passed the exams of the preceding year (Language I or Culture I).

As regards the choice of the Culture components, note that:
1. French language students can choose between French Culture and Francophone cultures. This choice has to be made starting in the first year and adhered to for the two years of the degree course;
2. Students of English language can choose between Anglo-American Culture, Anglophone cultures and British culture . This choice has to be made starting in the first year and adhered to for the two years of the degree course;
3. Students of Spanish can choose between Spanish Culture and Cultures of Spanish-Speaking Countries. The choice must be made in the first year and maintained for the two years of the degree course.
