Learning objectives
Aims of the course is to introduce students in animal husbandry of cattle and other reared species. The course provides knowledge on different rearing systems , animal behaviour and on farm welfare assessment in order to improve livestock management.
Expected learning outcomes
Students will acquire knowledge and understanding of the main livestock production systems as well as the ability to apply this knowledge for livestock management. Students can analize rearing systems and their relationships with the welfare of reared animals

Course syllabus and organization

Single session

Lesson period
First semester
The lessons provided for in the timetable will be held both face to face and remotely using the teams platform with complete registration, to allow to be used both in synchronous and asynchronous mode for students not present in the classroom.
The course material and the notices relating to any update related to the evolution of the legislation imposed by Covid-19 will be published on the ariel website. Oral exams, if remote, will be carried out using the Teams platform.
Prerequisites for admission
No specific information are required. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology is suggested as improving the understanding.
Assessment methods and Criteria
The exam is oral test about the topics included in the teaching programs of all modules.
The final mark (expressed in thirtieths) corresponds to the mathematical average of the two section marks.
