Learning objectives
The course, within the framework of current legislation, aims to provide the basic elements to deepen, in the light of the evolution of healthcare, the institutional set-up, organizational changes; the role of the State and the Regions, of the patient, of health professionals; the strategic role of information technology; the challenge for the management of chronicity with an outline of the national plan and regional models. . Ample space is reserved for the study of company management tools (human resources, procurement regulations, planning and control cycle). In this way, the student has the opportunity to learn how the health sector has its own specificity and how helath mangement has been the prerequisite for efficient and effective management. A particularly important aspect will be the reflection on alternative models of governance of healthcare structures. The course includes the possibility of group exercises and the production of one's own paper
Expected learning outcomes
The course aims at providing knowledge relative to governance, management, organization of health related organization so to render students able to diagnose the operation of different kinds of orgnizations and evalaute policy making choices
