Learning objectives
The course aims to allow students to reach a certain degree of knowledge related to the psychological and sociological concepts that are involved in people's feed management. According to an evolutionary model of development of the individual, the aim is to know the different types of client/patient's needs in order to be able to better manage, in the practice of the dietitian, the therapeutic relationship with clients/patients with different structures of personality.
Students will focus on team and coordinated interdisciplinary intervention, which are currently considered essential elements of the professionals who work in the field of public health.
Finally, the history of nutrition from the earliest societies to nowadays is considered useful to possess a background of enriching and comprehensive knowledge, in order to structure effective nutritional interventions in current practice.
Furthermore, the course aims to provide students with the tools to understand the fundamental dynamics of the current economic system, with particular reference to the agri-food system.
Students should be able to illustrate the logic and methodologies used by industries to guide consumer choices.
Finally, the course provides an overview of the Italian regulation policies in the various sectors of the agri-food system.

Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course students will have knowledge related to the psychological and sociological concepts that are involved in people's feed management, About economics students will have bases to undertand main elements of economic theory and will be able to analyze the food market and the different sectors that it includes. Students will describe the main steps of the research process, will identify the main statistical measures useful for the interpretation of the quality of evidence, explain the principles and methodology of epidemiological research.

If the written exams cannot be performed in university classrooms, due to sanitary reasons, oral exams will be hold on Microsoft Teams.
Teaching methods:
Brief asynchronous lessons on the theoretical aspects of the module (videotaped lessons with PowerPoint slides and audio commentary) will be made available on Ariel; interactive lessons will be held in university classrooms, and will be recorded and made available to students on Ariel. In addition, some problem solving activities will be available in the dedicated area of the Ariel platform.

Assessment methods and Criteria
Written test composed of 30 MCQs. To pass the test, it is necessary to correctly answer 18 questions. The secretary office of the degree course will communicate to the students the test results by email.
