Learning objectives
The course aims to provide the introductory bases of the fundamentals of economic theory and to analyze the main technical-economic and agricultural policy aspects that characterize the livestock farm. We also intend to address the evolution of the Italian and European agri-food system and the relationships between the various components of the system, the connections with the entire national and international political-economic system and the main economic problems of the food market.
Expected learning outcomes
The student will be able to understand the dynamics of the agricultural sector and the main mechanisms that regulate the Italian and European agri-food market, with particular reference to animal supply chains, according to economic theory. Moreover, he will know the technical-economic characteristics of the farm and the use of the main tools of agricultural policy, performance analysis and productivity improvement in economic terms.
