Course of Innovative aspects in drug design and optimization
During the emergency teaching phase, the course program and the reference material will not change.
Teaching methods
Both UD will be held mainly by online synchronous lectures using the Microsoft Teams platform, with the exception of some synchronous lessons (audiolectures with PowerPoint). The schedule of lessons will be published in due time in Ariel as well as any updates related to Covid-19 regulations.
Learning verification procedures and assessment criteria:
The final exam will be an oral test through Microsoft Teams platform or, if so permitted by regulation, in person, in a University classroom. The examination will consist of at least 3 open questions concerning the topics covered in the course and it will be aimed at ascertaining the achievement of the objectives in terms of knowledge and comprehension.
Course of Synthetic aspects in the preparation of biotechnological drugs.
During the emergency teaching phase, the course program and the reference material will not change.

Prerequisites for admission
The student should have acquired advanced knowledge on molecular biology, pharmacology and biotechnology, pharmaceutical chemistry and organic chemistry applied to macromolecules, to understand the innovative strategies applied to the development of the biotechnological drug.
Assessment methods and Criteria
Students will be evaluated on the basis of an oral test. The student will be asked at least 4 questions on the arguments of the module "Synthetic aspects in the preparation of biopharmaceuticals", while for the module "Biotechnological approaches to drug design and optimization" the exam consists in an oral discussion on at least three topics treated during the course.
The final mark (in thirtieths) will be calculated as weighted average (on the basis of the CFU) of the marks of the two modules.
