Learning objectives
To equip students with skills related to the analysis of historical and contemporary museum and temporary exhibition layouts, making them able to read the critical choices related to contemporary art history studies, the links with the restoration solutions of the works and with the conservation requirements of the artefacts, the values of the architectural choices adopted.
Expected learning outcomes
Acquisition of useful tools for orientation in the history of museology and museography; knowledge of the Italian exhibition culture of the first half of the twentieth century, with attention to the relationship and comparison with the European and American context; critical tools useful for interpreting the reasons of art criticism, the culture of restoration and conservation, and architecture in exhibitions.
