Learning objectives
Knowledge of the theoretical and methodological foundations of the psychology of social influences, and in particular of the different forms and dynamics of social influence underlying individual and group decision-making processes.
Knowledge of the main fields and methods of application of the psychology of social influences, with particular reference to persuasive technology.
Understanding of the functioning and consequences of complex psychological phenomena related to the use of digital technologies, with a particular focus on digital media.
Knowledge of the psychological determinants of subjective, psychological, and social well-being, related to the use of digital technologies.
Knowledge of the main fields and methods of application of the psychology of social influences, with particular reference to persuasive technology.

Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the student:
- will get to know the main theories in the psychological field, to describe the dynamics of social influence underlying the decision-making processes;
- will be able to describe the main areas and methods of application of the psychology of social influences in the context of digital technologies;
- will develop skills of analysis, interpretation, and resistance to the various forms of social influence, online and offline;
- will be able to promote the psychological well-being, online and offline, of individuals, groups, and communities.
