Learning objectives
- Acquire a basic knowledge of the technical, operational and management aspects typical of each of the professions in the area of technical health sciences
- Use this knowledge for the organization and management of health services provided by personnel with technical functions in the medical area
Expected learning outcomes
The course will allow you to acquire knowledge and understanding to deal with complex professional problems. The topics covered will explore the following aspects:
· the fundamental principles of communicable infectious diseases, their methods of dissemination and control, the methods of reporting and the principles of screening and individual protection;
· the principles of the management of infectious risk in the health sector by the figure of the Risk Manager
· tools for improving the quality of health services in the area of prevention;
· the classification of occupational diseases, their active research in different exposure and risk scenarios with particular reference to agriculture;
· planning and optimization of resources for the management of territorial health services with preventive purposes

Prerequisites for admission
It is required to pass all the exams of the first year, with particular regard to the Interdisciplinary Professional course I.
Assessment methods and Criteria
The exam will consist of different modules corresponding to the courses: a written test will be offered consisting of multiple choice questions with the addition of some open questions and exercises; it will also be possible to carry out a supplementary oral test, in agreement with the teacher.

Occupational medicine
Course syllabus
- The concept of emergency and occupational risk emergency: known risks in new production settings; new risks.
- Approaches to surveillance of new or re-emerging occupational diseases and risks. Active research of cases of occupational diseases.
- Agriculture in Italy today: an overview.
- The organization of prevention and health protection in agriculture in light of the new legislation (simplified DvR; Migrants Decree).
