Learning objectives
The teaching workshop intends to bring students to the knowledge of the main players of the book market (bookseller above all, but also publisher and distributor) and of the relationships between them and the readers.
Expected learning outcomes
Greater awareness of the dynamics and logics of dissemination of the book as a commercial and cultural object.

Course syllabus
The book as an object of economic exchange; market and culture; the types of library; assortment, rotation, supply; the routine of the bookseller.
Prerequisites for admission
No requirements.
Teaching methods
Presentation of themes and collective discussion of the materials proposed from time to time by the teacher. Some presentations will be made directly by the students.
Teaching Resources
Different papers from the several years of "Tirature", from Vendere l'anima by Romano Montroni (Laterza, 2006), from Voltare pagina? by Paola Dubini (Perarson, 2013). Websites of book operators and istitutions will be consulted.
Assessment methods and Criteria
Participation and profitable performance of the assigned activities are evaluated. During the first meeting, each student is assigned a work to be carried out in progress, to be delivered at the end of the workshop.
