Learning objectives
The workshop has a triple learning objective.
1. It intends to introduce students to an initial awareness of the origin of Gospel writing.
2. It proposes to make them recognize the peculiarities of this para-literary tradition on a "Literary criticism" level and within the "History of ideas" perspective.
3. It aims to experiment with the main methodological tools developed by the New Testament Disciplines to face, on a critical level, the main typical characteristics of these writings.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the student must recognize the formal characters that differentiate the proto-Christian writings from those of the ancient, Greek and Roman, world. He will also have to know the main critical tools that define New Testament research on an epistemological and methodological level, differentiating it from any other Literature of Antiquity and the Middle Ages. Finally, he will have to know how to orient himself between the different critical resources to apply according to the various analytical circumstances.
