Teaching Workshop: Know Yourself: a Philosophical, Psychological and Pedagogical Reflection On Human Temperaments.

Learning objectives
Il laboratorio didattico professionalizzante offre allo studente degli strumenti per imparerà a individuare e comprendere il proprio il temperamento, in modo tale da essere capace di interagire adeguatamente con persone che hanno il suo o altri temperamenti. Tale competenza risulterà utile soprattutto a coloro che, in futuro professionale, gestiranno e condurranno gruppi (classi scolastiche, gruppi di lavoro, risorse umane ecc.).
Expected learning outcomes
The workshop aims to develop the following skills:
Critical thinking skills:
By the end of the workshop, students will display a sufficiently independent critical approach in selecting and interpreting the notions that are most relevant their area of study and to the broader socio-cultural context in which they operate
Communication skills:
By the end of the workshop:
- students will be able to effectively communicate the acquired knowledge and disseminate it to the general public;
- student will have developed basic IT skills concerning knowledge preservation and transfer.
Learning skills:
By the end of the workshop, students will have developed the learning skills required to continue their studies in keeping with their own research interests. In order to meet this objective, students will also develop relevant skills in the independent interpretation of sources and in the use of basic IT tool for bibliographic research.

Course syllabus
The course will develop in three stages:
a) the ancient roots of "know thyself": the doctrine of the Elements from pre-Socratics to Aristotle and the elaboration of the Hippocratic medical school on Temperaments;
b) the pedagogical enhancement of this knowledge in the following centuries: Brunetto Latini, Immanuel Kant, Rudolf Steiner, the characterology of the twentieth century;
c) the psychological researches of Gustav Jung with particular reference to his theory of psychological types.
Bibliographic search and drafting of a philosophical scientific test;
technical methodologies and tools of research bibliography;
writing a scientific philosophical text.

Assessment methods and Criteria
The verification, without vote, consists in the participation in the laboratory activities and in the presentation of a written document. Attendance is compulsory.
Evaluation criteria:
