Learning objectives
Workshop: Phenomenology of space and Virtual Reality
The lab "Phenomenology of space and Virtual Reality" has the following objectives: a focus on the ideas of space and place in the phenomenological tradition; a comparison between the "real" space described by phenomenology andthe Virtual Reality's artificial space, also through the notion of "cyberspace";
The workshop allows to acquire skills for the professional profiles of cultural operator

Expected learning outcomes
The workshop aims to develop the following skills:
Critical thinking skills:
By the end of the workshop, students will display a sufficiently independent critical approach in selecting and interpreting the notions that are most relevant their area of study and to the broader socio-cultural context in which they operate
Communication skills:
By the end of the workshop:
- students will be able to effectively communicate the acquired knowledge and disseminate it to the general public;
- student will have developed basic IT skills concerning knowledge preservation and transfer.
Learning skills:
By the end of the workshop, students will have developed the learning skills required to continue their studies in keeping with their own research interests. In order to meet this objective, students will also develop relevant skills in the independent interpretation of sources and in the use of basic IT tool for bibliographic research.

Prerequisites for admission
The course does not require prior knowledge.
Teaching methods
The teaching method involves the active participation of students who will be asked to experiment, analyse and discuss virtual reality experiences. Introductory moments of frontal teaching are also foreseen in order to better direct analyses and discussions.

Assessment methods and Criteria
Verification methods:
The acquisition of the skills and knowledge of the laboratory will be verified through group work that will result in a judgement of suitability/non suitability.
Evaluation criteria:
- autonomy of judgement;
- critical understanding of the texts proposed;
- ability to cooperate in a working group;
- communication and expression skills.
