Learning objectives
The course aims to provide students with the knowledge of the Italian and EU Legislation, Animal Health Law and Food Law.
The contents of the legal provisions are presented, analyzed and interpreted with particular reference to the connections with the professional practice, evaluating content, applicability and effectiveness. After an introduction to the basic principles of positive law, are useful for understanding the underlying criteria of the specific Legislation, the course identifies practical perspective on the legislative approach to zootechnic contributions in the field of foods of animal and feed.
The EU regulations on food safety underscore the close connection between research and evaluation with scientific knowledge of behavior and critical analysis on the legal validity of the rule of law, both as regards the justification for the adoption of the measure, the efficacy of the standard in terms of practical application in the territory.
The student must necessarily know the basic principles of the EU institutions, European Union legal acts, and the fundamental principles of Food Law and Animal Health Law
Expected learning outcomes
The student must be able to manage or draw up a haccp plan of a food factory, or a biosecurity plan on the farm.
