Learning objectives
The aim of the course is to transfer students the main knowledge of feeding of food-producing animals and provide knowledge of feed and diet formulation according to monogastric and ruminants nutritional requirements. A further objective of the course will be to transfer the main skills related to animal nutrition and feeding and their impact on the environment in compliance with the integrated approach "Livestock Farming with Care".
Expected learning outcomes
It is expected that the student had acquired knowledge and ability to understand, elaborate and analyze materials related to the main areas of animal nutrition and feeding ,including feeding standard and basic feed and diet formulation,in order to reduce the environmental impact of farms.

The environmental impact issue (6 hours)
Animal husbandry: how much does it pollute and where do the polluting molecules come from? (10 hours)

Some strategies to improve the environmental impact of farms (4 hours)
