Learning objectives
The teaching workshop aims to provide students with first information on cultural consumption in Italy, starting from the world of books, and then to deal with information on books and the promotion of reading, with particular attention to younger people.
Expected learning outcomes
Knowledge of the publishing world and the structure of a publishing house.
Knowledge of book and reading promotion methods (publishing houses, bookshops, libraries, sites and blogs, festivals and fairs...).
Knowledge of CMS and use of a blog/magazine from both technical and editorial point of view.

Course syllabus
The world of the book (authors, publishers, booksellers, librarians, readers). The structure of the publishing house and the editorial skills and professions. Cultural sites and blogs. Cultural supplements. The critic's role. Cultural festivals. The editing of an online and offline magazine.
