Learning objectives
The aim of the course is to provide the knowledge and understanding of cooperative enterprises, with particular reference to business-economics and cultural aspects.
During the course, students will deal with different business situations, cases, testimonies, through which they will be able to acquire the necessary knowledge to give effective answers to the emerging needs of cooperative enterprises.
Students will also study the different forms of economic and institutional communication, acquiring an adequate knowledge about the tools of accountability and reporting to stakeholders.
Expected learning outcomes
The course aims at providing students with knowledge and skills regarding:
- the system of cooperation from an economic and cultural point of view;
- corporate governance and business combinations;
- cooperative enterprises by function and by process;
- the different business or competitive strategies (strategic business areas);
- the marketing strategies of a cooperative enterprise and brand promotion (product, price, distribution, communication);
- business models in production and logistics;
- the financial structure of a business and the sources of corporate financing;
- the organizational structure and the development of human resources;
- strategic planning and management control;
- the link between the management of cooperative enterprises and the economic and financial results;
- the financial statements as a basic tool for evaluating the business management and sustainability of a cooperative enterprises over time;
- the economic and financial communication system in cooperative enterprises;
- models of social and cultural communication.
Students will also acquire the ability to interact professionally within the cooperative system, with cross-skills of different professional figures.
