Learning objectives
The workshop aims to acquire theoretical and practical skills related to the use of the audiovisual medium as a tool for field research and reflection on communication and information management in an intercultural and humanistic context.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the workshop the student will have acquired an overall view, although not an in-depth one, of the audiovisual tools available to him/her to make a documentary on the humanistic-intercultural themes, starting from the production to the post-production phases.

The Workshop aims to teach theoretical and practical skills for using the audiovisual medium as a tool for field research and reflection on communication and information management in an intercultural and humanistic context. In particular, the Laboratory aims to provide the Student with tools for theoretical and practical reflection (depending on the edition, production and/or post-production: storyboard writing, outdoor video shooting, studio interviews, editing, subtitling) that can be spent to make a critical analysis of the contemporary world, comparing elements of differentiation and similarity between different cultural or social systems, and on sensitive issues (climate change, alterity, stereotypes, reception...).
The theme of this year's edition will be announced at the end of the first semester.
The Workshop foresees frontal lessons and/or field trips for a total of 20 hours (3 CFU) in one week, which will be held in the second semester (week to be defined ).

Prerequisites for admission
There are no specific prerequisites. Knowledge of audiovisual media is a factor that can benefit the participants.

Assessment methods and Criteria
There is no final written or oral examination for this Laboratory. Active participation, the ability to work in a team and proactivity will be assessed.
