The course has the dual objective of training those who, once they have completed their course of study, intend to focus and hone their skills in the field of data science, working closely with industry players. The course provides an opportunity for training and a skills refresher for those who are currently employed in the field, who are seeking to further their education and enhance their competence in data science. Skills developed by this Vocational Master include the ability to analyse and understand Big Data using modern AI statistical and computing techniques, including machine learning and data mining, as well as analytical tools to extract key relationships and constituent patterns, building predictive models for business, trading, and social media. Students will also learn to measure the effects of policy (economic, social), actions (investments, marketing campaigns), as well as to perform risk assessments (for finance and insurance), and all other operations tied to the fields of economics, marketing, business, and finance. The Vocational Master aims to train students in economics, business administration, and finance, and is geared towards those who are hoping to enhance their specific competencies in the field, with the tools needed to analyse Big Data, and to use them in their current job, or in a future endeavour.
