First Step Orientation – Our information desk on campus
Would you like to find out more about our undergraduate programmes, how to enrol and student services?
First Step Orientation is an initiative designed by COSP, the University's Study and Career Guidance Centre, to provide prospective students, including those with disabilities or learning disorders, with a dedicated information desk on the main campus.
The First Step Orientation desk will be operated by COSP staff and 10 students selected via an official call for applications, who will serve as peer-to-peer tutors.
All our tutors are either master's students or undergraduate students enrolled in the last years of a single-cycle degree programme. Supported by the COSP staff, they will give you:
- basic information on our undergraduate programmes (Bachelor's degrees and single-cycle Master’s degrees)
- clarifications on how to gain admission to our programmes
- general information on the services offered by the University
- instructions on how to navigate the UniMi website
- instructions on how to book an individual orientation session
- information on the University's services for students with disabilities or specific learning disorders
- information materials on specific courses and services.
The desk will be coordinated by two COSP offices: the one in charge of Guidance Services for Prospective and New Students and the one in charge of Disability and SLD Services.
