Law @ LaStatale

Law is one of the most authoritative and prestigious Italian faculties for advanced studies and, according to ANVUR, the Agency for the Evaluation of the University System and Research, it ranks among the best on the national scene.

The strong involvement in research means that the training is always at the cutting edge and also open to sectors beyond the more traditional professions related to legal knowledge.

Attentive to international contexts, Law offers a number of modules in English and a wide range of training courses abroad, which, alongside the exchanges within the Erasmus+ programme, include participation in a double degree program, a summer school, moot courts and internships at major law firms and international institutions. It also offers a Master's course in Sustainable Development.

Associations of graduate students

At the University of Milan, as in the most prestigious universities, there is an association gathering graduates in all the scientific areas covered by the courses offered at the University. The Association of Friends of the State University (AmiSta) maintains contact between the university and its alumni, aiming in particular to facilitate graduate orientation and placement in the world of work .

The Faculty of Law also has many years of experience thanks to another association, Algiusmi, which welcomes graduates in law from the University of Milan. At an annual public ceremony Algiusmi rewards the year’s fifteen best graduates.

Relations with foreign universities

Law regards constant and reciprocal exchanges at the highest levels an integral part of modern, dynamic and excellent university teaching. This international orientation also affords teachers, researchers and students opportunities for interaction and exchange with bodies and organizations in other countries and with other legal systems.
